1. Data we collect: none

Polite Exit: Fake Call does not collect, store on our servers, transmit or share any data — personal or otherwise. There are no accounts, no advertising, no analytics, no crash reporting and no third-party SDKs.

Everything you create in the app — call presets, caller names and photos, voice recordings, call-screen themes and settings — is stored entirely on your device, inside the app's private storage. The app does not have the Android INTERNET permission, so it is technically unable to send any data anywhere.

2. Permissions the app uses and why

The app declares exactly the following Android permissions, each for a single, visible purpose:

• SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM — make the simulated call ring at exactly the time you scheduled. Requested in context when you set your first schedule; if you decline, the app falls back to an approximate alarm.
• USE_FULL_SCREEN_INTENT — show the full-screen incoming-call screen, including over the lock screen.
• POST_NOTIFICATIONS — show the incoming-call notification and the app's own "missed call" notification (the app never writes to the system call log).
• FOREGROUND_SERVICE and FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK — keep the ringtone and voice playback running reliably during a call session, even if you swipe the app away. The service runs only during the ringing/in-call session.
• WAKE_LOCK — wake the screen when the call rings, and turn it off when you hold the phone to your ear during the simulated call.
• VIBRATE — vibrate with a realistic incoming-call pattern.
• RECORD_AUDIO — record your custom voice lines. Requested only at the moment you tap the record button; if you decline, the app remains fully usable with the bundled voices. Recordings are saved only to the app's local storage and never leave your device.
• MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS — optionally set the ring volume to your chosen level for a scheduled call, then restore your previous volume afterwards.
• ACCESS_NOTIFICATION_POLICY — optionally let a scheduled call ring while Do Not Disturb is on. Requested only if you turn on that toggle in Settings.
• RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED — re-register your scheduled calls after the phone restarts. The app does nothing else in the background.

The app does not request access to your contacts, your media library (caller photos are chosen through the Android Photo Picker, which requires no permission), your location, or any network state.

3. Third-party services

None. The app contains no advertising SDKs, no analytics SDKs and no other third-party services that could process your data.

4. Data deletion

Because all data lives only on your device and there are no accounts, uninstalling the app permanently deletes everything the app ever stored. You can also delete individual recordings, presets and themes from within the app at any time.

5. Changes to this policy

If we ever change how the app handles data, we will update this page and the effective date above before the change takes effect.
